Oct. 10th Spaghetti Dinner to Benefit Hurricane Katrina Victims

A campus-wide spaghetti dinner on Monday evening, Oct. 10th, will raise funds to help OSU students affected by Hurricane Katrina, as well as provide support to food banks in areas serving large numbers of evacuees.

Sponsored by the three student governments (USG, CGS and IPC) and the Greek Councils, the dinner will include spaghetti with a choice of meat or marinara sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, dessert, and a beverage. Cost is $7 per person or a “swipe” on the student dining plan. Guests may donate more if they choose.

Students living in residence halls may use their meal plans to participate in the dinners during the regular evening meal hours at Baker Buckeye Express, Kennedy, Morrill and North Commons. The university will donate the cost of their swipe to the project.

Other students, faculty, staff and community members can dine in at the Ohio Union ballrooms at either 5:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. seatings. Pre-sale tickets are encouraged for these and tickets are on sale now at the Ohio Union Information Center. Carryout orders will also be available at the Ohio Union, from 5 to 8 p.m. A drive-thru will be set up on Union Drive on the east side of the Ohio Union for carryout orders. Those wishing to use the drive-thru should access Union Drive from 12th Ave.
